Day 1: Arrival in Darjeeling and trek to Maneybhanjang
- Arrive in Darjeeling and make your way to the small town of Maneybhanjang, the starting point of the trek.
- The journey takes about 1.5 hours and passes through scenic tea gardens and small villages.
- Spend the night in Maneybhanjang, getting acclimatised to the altitude.
Day 2: Trek from Manebhanjan to Tumling
- Begin the trek early in the morning, passing through forests and small hamlets.
- The trail is steep in places and takes around 5-6 hours to reach Tumling, a small village located at an altitude of 9,600 feet.
- Spend the night in Tumling, enjoying the beautiful views of the Himalayas.
Day 3: Trek from Tumling to Sandakphu
- This is the most challenging day of the trek, as you’ll be ascending to Sandakphu, the highest point of the trek at an altitude of 11,929 feet.
- The trek takes around 6-7 hours and passes through forests and meadows.
- On reaching Sandakphu, you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of the Himalayan range.
- Spend the night in Sandakphu, enjoying the serene environment.
Day 4: Trek from Sandakphu to Srikhola and departure
- After breakfast, begin the descent towards Srikhola, a small village located at an altitude of 6,600 feet.
- The trek takes around 6-7 hours and passes through forests and small villages.
- On reaching Srikhola, bid farewell to your trekking companions and depart for Darjeeling or Siliguri.
