Amarnath devotees who have been waiting for their call can now rejoice. The Amarnath Yatra has been temporarily paused due to worsening weather and therefore the government of India had put a stop to the yatra and no pilgrims had been permitted to move toward the sacred cave from both Pahalgam and Baltal camps.
The government officials stated that the authority had to suspend the Yatra due to excessive rainfall which has made the journey even more difficult to complete. Thus the officials were forced to inform that the journey would continue only after the weather improves.

However, the weather has improved and hence pilgrims were allowed to move further from Jammu toward the Kashmir Valley. Also, the vehicles have been allowed to move forward after the blockade that has been caused due to the shooting stones and mudslides in the Ramban district.
Reports mention that the Amarnath Yatra has begun from the Pahalgam route, whereas the Baltal route has still been kept in wait. Officials have also let us know that the vehicles that have been stranded due to the natural barriers, have been cleared and it has been instructed not to travel on the highway without validation from traffic police.
Reports have also stated that the iron tunnel passage on the highway was also damaged by the shooting stones recently and therefore it has been a major cause of the chaos that has been created on the Jammu- Kashmir highway.
