Early-stage exploration mines are frequently referred to as G3 mines.

The ministry of mines tweeted about the discovery on Thursday.

It said that Vivek Bharadwaj, the secretary of the mines ministry, gave state governments 16 geological reports and memoranda during the 62nd Central Geological Programming Board meeting. This was the first time lithium reserves had been discovered in the country, Bharadwaj said during the conference. He provided J&K mining secretary Amit Sharma two geological assessments on lithium blocks in Reasi for further action. In accordance with Sharma, the discovery of the essential mineral lithium, which is used in mobile and EV batteries, has revolutionized the history of mining in J&K.
