A specially visioned who took a step forward to stand for the ones whose visions are less privileged.
Mastering the art of navigating through the darkness is a skill. There are people who have witnessed darkness from birth or due to some mishap and for them, this skill turns out to be life-changing. This skill is named Braille. The history of Braille goes back to the early 1800s. The soldiers of the french army used this method to read combat messages avoiding the use of light. This night reading method was discovered by Charles Barbier a general in the french army but this differed a bit from the Braille system we know today. This methodology used 12 dots to convey the information. Further, Louis Braille modified this method, and the number of dots was reduced to 6 for more convenience. This invention has not only earned him respect but an asteroid has also been named Asteroid 9969 Braille. To this day the Braille system has been the only ray of light for people without vision and thus on the 4th of January, the world celebrates his Birthday by Braille Day.
